Robert Crais made the successful jump from Emmy-nominated television writer for such hit shows as HILL STREET BLUES, CAGNEY & LACEY, and MIAMI VICE to author of the New York Times best-selling Elvis Cole/ Joe Pike novels. He is author of 14 bestsellers including THE TWO MINUTE RULE, THE LAST DETECTIVE, HOSTAGE (filmed as a motion picture starring Bruce Willis in 2005), THE WATCHMAN and his latest novel, CHASING DARKNESS.
